peep twist

Ok so I got a small g5 peep sight put on last year. When I shoot it twist too far to where I can't see out of. So I explain to the prosho which way its twisting. He fixes it then I shoot it at the shop and its perfect. Go out in the field after a few shots it kinda works but not all the way how I would like it. I dunno what is going on wth this peep but I'm thinking bout goin back to the tubeing kind. Any thoughts

Ya, mine does it too. Never had an issue when it first was set up by Cory at XXX. Then it went out of timing at a couple thousand shots so I had my local shop tune it and its never been the same. With my center pivot I can loosen the tension, and twist the string about a half turn and re install and tighten so I hear. Just never done it. Saturday when I was hooting I just turn it first before each shot. PITA!
Gonna get a new string soon so I'm not messing with this one...

Good string.
Lack of D-loop makes it tough to keep a peep trained perfectly.

I would suggest it.
Although a few may argue, I believe a D loop is much more accurate then shooting directly off the string.

If you have a quality string you then you can get by with just pressing the bow and rotating your string to get the peep where you want it,
it may take a few times, but it's easier to get perfect peep alignment with a string loop and is prevents wear on the center serving from your release.

I'd suggest getting a D-loop installed. A properly tied d-loop will pull a peep straight on the draw.

Do you carry the bow by the string? Heard that will twist the string also.

Nope don't carry it by the string, use my bow sling or hangle

only if your putting a couple twists in the string, your only twisting the string enough to get the peep where you want it.

i was having peep twist issues (G5 meta in a pro-line string) and no luck twisting the string.  I got a hold of the G5 Speed Studs and placed one in the string.  moving it up or down rotates the peep without twisting strings/cables!  one stud for single cam, both for dual cam.  i actually just ran out and bought another set for my target bow today at lunch!  works for me, and no tube stretched and aimed at your eye!
