Nice pic.  better than a herd of bears, and one elk I guess... :chuckle:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Mr. Bear better be careful. He should remember his smaller buddy that got his butt kicked by the group of cows. Moo cows, not elk cows.

Looks like a brute of a bear.  That is a nice big hump.  Looks like he is waiting for the calves to drop.

Was it out looking for calfs?  Good looking bear.  May help the elk population if someone harvests that one.

Not bad for a cell phone pic.......was about 50 ft. away.  There was another bear right around the corner but I think it was too far away to be spooking the elk.  The elk had no care in the world this bear was there.

However, he is a baby compared to Mr Big.  I will get a pic of him somehow (I think he is 350+)

This was an old apple orchard 100 years ago so the bears are thick.

I know that paticular location.  I have seen a couple bears in it including the BIG ONE.  Here is a photo of that one I took 5-6 years ago.  He is a PIG!!  And I Guarantee it isn't photo shopped because I have seen it too.  Bears pay absolutely no attention to the Elk at this spot.

There are a few Cougars in this area too.  They pick off quite a few of the Elk.
