Tim the stock is yours after I get a new one. I thought about the Fagen but it's to tactical for this build. Thinking of getting a Richards microfit (tac driver). Yes Castlerock it is a stock barrel.

Don't let looks deceive you...the Fajen isn't even a tactical stock . It is benchrest/silhoutte stock....

I,ve looked at that one but i dont think the color is right. Im looking for the same color as the stock thats on it. Ive found a couple at Stockysstocks.com but just havent decided which of the two I want.

Well I finally got the new stock for my 10/22. Went with an anchutz (spelling) thumbhole in  black/gray laminate. Hopefully I will get some time to take it out and shoot it this weekend.

what was the total price tag on this venture? i've been considering doing teh same thing with a 22mag version though.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

total price is a little north of $1000.00 just got back from shooting it. It shoots excellent at 50 yards off a rest 10 shots touching. Im sure it will do alot better once i find ammo it likes. I just grabbed a box I had in the safe to sight it in. I also bedded the new stock and free floated the barrel.
