Ill tell you, Al , Andrew and i had to work hard to get some great footage for the show , but is was a ton of fun even if i were exhausted after the few days they were here .
The HOT temps along with the wind made for some hard calling thats for sure .
I had a great time meeting Al and Andrew . I always thought it was a lot of pressure on the hunter/callers when filming a show , and never gave it much thought about what a camera man has to go thru to get some good footage.
It was amazing what Andrew was able to capture in that lens , Hard chargers, and sneakers.
Think its hard to hunt them ? Try filming a hunt LOL.
I have to say my hat is off to Andrew , he was so ON at all times with that lens it was amazing .
No matter how fast or what direction the coyotes came from he was all over them , He never missed a opportunity to capture the set on film and believe me a couple of those coyotes were hard to capture LOL.
Al was a fun guy to hunt with and as all of you are aware of knows the game very well . He kept calling as long as i wanted and never entertained the thought of giving up no matter how hot or how hard the wind blew .
The only complaint i have about hunting with Al is he walks to danged fast , I couldnt keep up with him ( I guess im getting old) . He may be BIG but he is fleet of foot ill tell ya .
I have a couple of pictures ill post when i get time , still catching up from the hunt and work so it might be a couple of days .
Thanks to foxPro for the opportunity to hunt with one of the best , and to film with a great Cameraman . Andrew , you done good , You and Al are welcome at our door anytime . Jerry , Kerri and Jared . Obe said hello also (Growl )
The three day tally was 6 coyotes , it seemed the only time we could get a responce was first couple of stands in the morning and the last stand at night .Not at all suprised due to the HEAT and wind.Als first washington coyote was kinda cool , We set up on one of my honey holes and just as i was getting ready to start calling a low gutteral howl came from the sage not more then 50 yrds below our set up . It took only a matter of seconds and we had a hard charger coming in to the song i was playing on the Skyote hand call . We ended up getting a double on that set , as we were doing the reenactment and blowing the call for the camera coyote number two came in and ended his day with us . Al took a couple of shotgun coyotes and 250 yarder. I guess im so used to doing guided hunts and setting people in the right place for the shot is why Al seemed to pop all the fur.
Here is a shot of Als ride , kinda hard to hide LOL.
