outdoor edge knives
« on: October 13, 2011, 09:37:38 PM »
I see them advertised all the time but my question is are they any good? They seem very reasonable in price. Anyone have any experience?
Thank you

Yes the kodi pack is the best in.my opinion. sharp as hell and you can send them.back to be resharpened. got the swingblade this year and it worked well on a. bear. i like them a lot great buy for the price.

I have their butcher kit ( the one that comes in the green carry case) and it is very nice, I have done lots of animals with it and never go to camp without it. I bought the swing blade this year and used it on the 6 antelope we got last week and i would recommend it to anyone.

Another vote for the butcher kit. My wife got me the set 3 years ago and Im not sure how many animals it has been used on alot between Wild and farm, they work very well for the money. You can find better knives, but the OE are a great value imo. No experience with any of their field knives.

Ok so sounds like I'm gonna pick up the butcher kit for sure, now, should I get the kodi pack or swing blade? Or should I just save for all 3? Thanks for the input guys!

I have the butcher kit and 2 kodi packs... great tools, wouldn't want to be without them.

I bought my first Outdoor Edge knife a few years ago, and now it's the only brand I'll buy. They hold an edge incredibly well, and they seem to be designed by someone who uses them in the field.
