We were going to bring our oldest lab to wsu vet for xrays on back leg.  Was looking for a place to hunt other 2 dogs while wife is at vet with dog.

Any place close?
Tried finch ranch but no one has called back

Pretty tough to get permission by asking landowners.  There are probably 3,000 students nearby that hunt and think they can drive up to a farmers house and ask to hunt their land.  I would try some of the feel free to hunt areas, but the remaining 2,990 student hunters (those that don't get to know the locals) hammer the feel free areas pretty hard.

I would suggest driving as far away from Pullman as time allows, 20 miles at least, and try there.

Thanks. I didn't even think of the kids hunting. We will be hunting hard for 4 days before maybe we will take the day off

Head south of town toward the snake.  Just about any land owner will let you hunt out there if you stop in and say hi.  Best to hunt the brush/pine hillsides between upper an lower fields.  Hunt the top edge.  You might also go due NW out of Colfax.  Take 26 west, within 1/4 mile hang a right into Green Hollow.  Stay on the road until it takes you back down to the river.  Start knocking on doors.  Some nice folks back in there.
