All hail the Safe Queens!

Remember when you first got into hunting way back when? ... remember when all stocks were wood? Or like me... you had the philosophy of "life is too short to hunt with an ugly rifle" until you banged up that nice new rifle and figured those synthetic stocks were cool too.

Well, lets see the Safe Queens!

Here is mine: She has taken 1 Elk and I just couldnt stand the dings or marks that happened while out causing trouble. So, she has sat in the safe looking pretty.

Its a Mauser Mark X action, Shilen Barrel, Walnut Select Grade stock and topped off with a Leupold VX1 3-9x50 Scope. The last pic is what it did at the range the other day with 200 Grain Accubonds shooting 3030 FPS. Not bad

my safe queen is a Browning Safari Grade .270.  she's a shooter, and my dad and I shot her well, but a new stick of wood and blue job... well, she's not been in the woods since.
