Another day, another bunch of miles on the boots, no bears! I went out today with H2Ohunter and FC. We hiked, and hiked, and glassed, and hiked and glassed some more. Nothing. Did a little driving around, glassed, nothing. Oh well, it was a beautiful day, enjoyed the sun and good company. Went home and washed the boat. Gotta get it ready for lingcod season. I will take a little hike tomorrow morning before work. I am going to keep at it as often as I can. It's just a matter of time. I will be successful, I want me some bear meat!

Thanks guys. I appreciated coming along for the ride. Enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to another chance to chase some bears, kings, crabs.....what ever with you both. Next time I'll try and have something to contribute along the lines of that smoked salmon!!

It was a good day out, nice to finally meet you. Hopefully next time we can come up with something better than a snake that was too cold to get away and a skink that was laying in the sun when I spotted him (got away easily).

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

Nah.....nothing wrong with three grown men.....walking and talking...sweating it up......changing shirts every now and then....commenting on each others "pants ventilation options". Taking a drive way up in the hills...

It was fun. I enjoyed hanging out with Ripper and FC....good guys both of them. Hope to get out and do some more fishing and hunting with either.

Also....I mentioned the smoke salmon...that is worth the trip right there if Ripper brings that along.

I was worried he would pass out! If he passed out we would either (A) have to carry him out or (B) go through his pockets for the truck keys!  :yike:

In the future if you get that concerned let me know....you distract him and I'll whack him in the head. We can come back for him when it cools off.

Ya'll are ruthless! I wouldn't have it any other way. Yes it was hot, sweaty and fun. Yes I'm talking about hunting. :chuckle: I took another quick hike this morning and again, saw nothing. I am loving this weather though, even if it makes me sweat. Next time I'm just wearing a t-shirt. Of course next time it will be raining and I'll wish I had my jacket! I will post up some pic's a little later of the big adventure.

Okily Dokily, here's some pic's from the weekend. Me on a stump, a very cold snake in FC's hand and a couple of this cool fast flowing creak.
