Around Thanksgiving? Will they be down low?

There should be turkeys all over the place down low that time of year.  I haven't hunted them though, just seen them when deer hunting in Oct, so I'd expect them to still be around by Thanksgiving.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

There aren't any turkey's in the teanaway.  The wolves have been eating tons of them. :chuckle:

They fly south for the winter. We had a late spring and they were not back yet. By November, they will be in Mexico.

Nobody has hunted a fall Teanaway turkey before.  This is the first year for it.  Did you draw a tag?  If you did, plan on hunting later in the season and you can have your pick.  Not very sporting, but thats how it will be.  I've got to agree with the wolf comment, something was after the turkeys this year.

I always see them down low mid November on private land the last 3 years, but I am not sure about this coming year with the wolves taking over.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

HoofsandWings-

Good luck and I hope you find plenty this fall and clean em out!  Sounds like better get them quick before the wolves do.

Fall hunting can be a blast if done correctly .....O Sheet I guess this will get the attention of someone  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:( when I say correctly ) I have not hunted turkeys in the fall in Washington but I have back east ...its tradition in Pa for everyone to go hunting on thanksgiving mornig ...Pheasant - rabbit - turkey and squirrel ...We would all get together my brothers and I and brake up the flock and then call them back ... it is fun but I do not care much about fall hunting anymore.... Nothen comes close to spring action :twocents: ;) plus to many birds get wounded from the trigger happy hunters .....you can single them out when using the BUST METHOD !
