Deployed Servicemen with sick children.

I am looking for information regarding Military families that have kids battling cancer or other related situations where one parent or guardian or whatever is deployed or will be deployed or even single vets with sick children that could use some assistance.

My brother started frog4life.com in memory of his son Joshua who passed away at the age of 11 of liver cancer and before he passed he said he wanted to help any kids that are battling cancer or other life threatening illnesses and Frog4life is now in a position to branch out and help military families or veterans that find themselves in a situation with a sick child or children.

If any of you know where I can get more information about this or any other organizations similar please let me know, We are not sure of the role we can play in the lives of these families but are interested in making it easier for them to focus on their child rather then all the other daily chores, like walking the dog, mowing the grass, auto repair, shoveling snow, or any other way to relieve the pressure these families face on a daily basis.

He is not in the service and never was, he just felt there was a need in the services that he could potentially help out, I was Coast Guard back in 89-92 and I try to help out vets where ever and however I can so so maybe that is why he felt the connection to the service families and veterans.

I'm guessing you can call any FRG (family readiness group) and they would be able to assist you in spreading the word through the military community. The reservists have a hard time just because they are not usually offered any medical insurance and there are a lot of unemployed reservists and guard members not to mention the ones that are employed and dont have medical insurance.

stand by I will pm you with some phone numbers to call and some web sites to visit. most of my contacts are in the Army national guard but will be able to assist you in finding organizations that would be happy to accept any help they can get.

I believe the army at least will keep a service member at home for something like that, especially if the outlook is terminal. I don't know about the other services. Sounds like a nice program though.
