backpacking poles

just got back from a trip to castlelake earlyr this week..and my break down pole didnt seem to have enough backbone in it to realy hook alot of the bigger fish, what kinda poles have you all had luck with ? id like it to break down enough so i can fit it in a pack

any info would be much apriciated

Buy a rainshadow fly rod blank, about 7 feet, 3 weight and buy a spinning reel seat, cork, and guides, and put it together.  You'll love it.  Oh make sure it's a 5 piece blank for portability.  Pm me if you want more info.  How was the fishing and access?  I've always wanted to fly fish that lake but never made the trek.

the fishing was crazy good(worms and spiners),we were the first ones in there as far as i know,typicaly we go in from the top of the 3000 line but the snow line is about 7miles from the lake..so we went to plan b an hiked acrossed the mudflow from coldwater lake..it was a great adventure but extremly dangerouse geting across toutles north fork,prolly about three hours one way hike..but like i said the fishing was great,ive been there dozens of times now and this is looking to be a pretty good year

I use the fly pole with a spin real also, what a set up. And is it ever sensitive, I don't lose the ones i used too.

It has a sticker on it that says expander. That is all that I know. It fits into a backpack great! Just look for a telescopic pole at a sporting goods store.
