Norico MAK-90
« on: January 10, 2013, 05:51:33 PM »
I have a 1993 Norinco MAC-90 Sporter and was wondering what the value would be in this market? It is a milled reciver and in good condition. I was thinking about using it for trading at the wac gun show, but wanted to get a feel of what I have to work with.  Thanks for any help.

Milled ones typically go for more than stamped.. The problem with milled MAK's though, is the slant cut of the reciever.. Some of the stamped MAK 90's had straight cut recievers, and some slant cut. The milled all have slant cuts as far as I know.. That just means putting a normal AK stock on it will require some custom work. Its hard to say what they would bring right now.. People are asking 1250 for WASR's, and Norinco's are way better, especially milled. Watch gunbroker auctions..

I would be curious also, I have one about the same age. I paid $169.00 for it, still have the price tag.

Take it to the show and post it as Best Offer.......
I know when my Father inlaw had his store I was paying $89.00 for Yugoslav SKS s m66
And the Norincos were five dollars cheaper. You will make a good profit from your original invesyment :IBCOOL:

There is one on ebay for 600.00 selling and 2 at 800.00 not selling. So that may help you a little.

In this market you could easily get $750.  One just sold for $800+.  I'm not an AK guy so don't ask for specifics.  All I know is it was a MAC 90...
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.

When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Why are you trading/selling? What do you want for it?

I'm looking to trade it because I want an ak I can make tatical and this one is worth more as is with no mods. I was thinking about trading it for an AR or a different AK.
