Like one to use out in the woods? I've always heard/been told the Katadyn filters are really good. Spendy depending what you get though but one of the best. We're saving to get one.

I got sick of pumps jamming and like that I can scoop and go if need be and filter later.

I use the uv light pen.  ( rei)
Old enough to know better.

This one works great.  Just bring a gallon jug that you can squeeze purified water into and you'll be good to go.
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
