6.5x284 Recipes
« on: January 04, 2014, 07:35:54 PM »
Curious if anyone has any good loads they would be willing to share?  I have done a bit of research and came up with H4350 as a good option with the Berger 140 VLD hunting. Just curious on the powder charge and other specifics.
Thanks for any information.

Damn, that sounds good. The only problem is finding powder. There isn't any here in the Tri-cities. I mean none!  Is there some down in your neck of the woods?

My savage likes 57gr Retumbo/cci 250mag primers/140 berger vld/3.15 coal & 2860 fps. I shot a .684 3 shot group at 300 yds the other day with it. Sweet round and it just smoldered a coyote yesterday morning. Good luck with your load development. I've heard h1000 is good and mine shot h4831 pretty good also.
