First brown elk of the year. Very grateful to have found these before someone else.  A lot of people enjoying our beautiful state!

Still looking for some browns to get the pup on her first fresh sheds for the smell of them vs the old ones that for sure have some of my smell on them as well. But so far I have 3 forky blacktail this year for 4 half day trips. I think its cool how these 2 fork horn sheds both probably dropped last year have the same crook on the front point or "mainbeam" Then after looking at a lot of my trail cam pics and the buck I shot there this year I noticed A LOT of the bucks in the area all have that upturned mainbeam. Also, 90% of the bucks in the area have that fat bladed type G2. My 2020 buck, the bigger forky, and a ton of my trail cam pics. But I still have yet to see a single buck with even a slight split of the G2. Most are big old mature fork horns or 3x2. My 2020 buck was the first legit 3x3 I have seen in the area.

Our shed hunting is almost completely incidental. Two today for us while checking our game cams, a small 3 point that was old and chewed up and this older whitetail shed.
