Lost Stihl Chainsaw in Capital Forest
«
on:
January 18, 2021, 04:59:47 PM »
I know this is a long shot but yesterday my family went to get firewood in Capital Forest and went up the Noschka road to the 8000 line. Somewhere on the drive up the tailgate came open and a Stihl chainsaw fell out. Once they got to the top and seen what happened they came right back down but did not see the saw. If anyone happened to see it I would like to have it back for my brother. It is a older small Stihl that he has had for quite a few years but it ran good.
Thanks

That sucks, those older non computerized Stihls are valuable and sought after.

Nearest pawn shops, Craigslist, homeless camps or scrap yards, that’s where I’d look, to start.

might be just off the road, might be worth to walk the edges.

I've heard if similar predicaments where the item fell out when the truck was rounding a corner and then rolled off the road slightly. I would check the edges where the turns are best of luck

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am supposed to go with them this weekend and if I do i will walk the road, from the top down of course
, and see what i can see. That makes more sense because they said they drove to the top and when they noticed it headed back down and only seen one truck on the way up and none on the way down/
