Zamberlan Boot Treatment question
« on: September 27, 2021, 01:00:31 PM »
pulled the trigger on some Zamberlans Cresta's..  They have their hydrobloc treatment on them out of the box.  I never buy high end boots so hesitant to put boot cure on them out of the box if they already are cured..  Leave as is and cure as necessary after wear??  Or go ahead and add good layer of beeswax base cure anyway like always?

thanks...

I would advise continuing to use hydrobloc for treatment annually.  Zamberlan sells it as a spray.

Dave Page, cobbler in Seattle, has been Zamberlan's US repair man for years.  Contact him and ask.

Do not add any extra treatment. I clean and recondition only with hydroblok after each season.

I use the kenetrek brand boot stuff on my zamberlan. Works great. Usually apply
Once a year and call it good. Going on season 4-5 on this set

I use Nikwax on my boots but applied after a full season. Good cleaning of the leather and then put a coat on. Dry feet is an amazing thing and worth the money

New - no need for treatment.

I've had a pair of Zamberlan Guide GTX RR for 8 years (by no means an expert) I...clean after hunting (drench with water light bruising , allow a few days to dry) spray with Zamberlan hydroblock and store.

A couple weeks before hunting spray again.

Never leaked or had an issue.

I use bear grease on mine and love it.
