One thing that stood out was a statement about how separated as outdoorsman we are. Hunting, fishing, trapping and the different groups inside all of those groups from archery to rifle, fly fishing to bait fishing. We are all branches on the same tree and the anti's aren't just attacking each branch they are trying to chop down the whole tree. I think these 2 groups are on the verge of greatness. Dan from CRWM is amazing. I hope he can continue to branch out beyond Colorado.
One thing that really jumped out at me was the parallels between Colorado and Washington. In the 90's we lost hound hunting, and IIRC CO lost trapping. Both states had groups formed to combat this (Hunter Heritage Council for WA) that until recently have had great success killing anti hunting legislation.Time to step up, what worked in the 2k's isn't enough anymore.
They are 10years behind washington. Since their director came from washington and wrote the conservation policy that seems to have been defeated by the tribes.
