Federal B.O.R.Lock mz What loading tip?
« on: June 25, 2024, 10:25:08 AM »
Getting ready to start shooting some Federal B.O.R.Lock  mz and am wondering if they need any particular tip for the ramrod? I've only ever shot bloodline hollow points. Any pointers appreciated, thanks

I use spin jags, they work great, but yes you do need to be careful what you buy.  Some loading tips are not quite deep or angled properly for BORE lock's. I would bet about 1/2 of the various loading tips I have for at least somewhat pointy muzzy bullets would smash the tip on a BOR Lock.
You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.

Thanks, I’ll grab one and head over to Sportsman’s and see if I can find a good fit

If anyone wants the rest of what I have I'll give them away for free.   I have a few of the 270gr and the 350gr.  They don't print accurately out of my gun.  I'm in Spokane valley.
