Little Pathfinder's biggest boar yet.  I'll get the story up sometime this week when I get a spare moment.

Thanks for the comments everyone.  Long story short; we've been hunting this bear for 4 years.  First started getting him on our trail cams in 2020 and named him Victor for the large distinctive V on his chest.  Never seen him alive until last week when he popped out in this old clearcut right before dark.  Didn't realize how big he was until he was gutted and we tried to move him.  Like I said, I'll try to get the whole story up this week.

Was thinking the same things as I looked at the picture, definitely a young man and not a boy anymore.

Great job everyone!

Little Pathfinder's growing up! But he looks too serious. I love to see that boy's electric smile with his success pics every year!

Cool bear! Love that white patch! Are you gonna do a mount? With a white patch like that, I'd hate to split it up the middle for a rug, and separate that pattern.

That’s an awesome bear! Well done! That kids trophy collection is no joke!!

Well, the problem is that his room is starting to look like the Grim Reaper of bears lives there.  We had his first bear made into a rug because it was his first, and it had a beautiful white chest as well.  Then last year he killed a big blonde boar and it looked like they were going to end the August season here, so I figured "probably the biggest one he'll kill.  I guess I'll have a rug made."  I killed a big boar two years ago that I had rugged.  I called the taxidermist the day after he killed it and asked if it was too late to put a stop order on the blonde rug and switch it out for this guy, but he said it's already getting the felt sewed on.
So, as big and beautiful as it is, I'm just not going to rug a fourth bear, and a half mount is nearly 2K.  Ill keep the hide in the freezer and sleep on it, but I think we'll just get it tanned and he can hang it off his door with his others...
