lyons- ferry catfish

my dad and i are heading to lyons ferry to  fish catfish june 4,5,6th , and i noticed some of you will be there also.i've never fished for these and could use some help.i'm bring a boat ( 19ft northriver)
    what type of anchor? 
    size hooks
    size lead
    bait (does cut herring work)
    will springers be open?

bring beer,we will discuss the unimportant stuff there....This is my first trip there,go over to the eastside catfish thread has a lot of info

 :yeah: I Posted what i usually use out the for cats and walleyes, not that it is the gosphel, but has worked in the past, i am told the fishing in the palouse at least is really good

Springers closed down last weekend.   :'(

Never fished them on the east side, but from what I know about kitty fish is the stinkier the bait the better, as much lead as will keep you on the bottom, and use a decent sized hook to keep the small ones off.
