marsh rat or stealth 2000
« on: October 14, 2010, 11:29:32 AM »
I've been thinking about getting something for duck hunting.  I want it for an all purpose hunting boat. Anyone know something better?

I kinda like the idea or the stealth boat myself.  Has a few more options.

I picked up a 1200 last year and love it. It is very stable and has plenty of room. The only negative I see is that it is a little heavy.

I have used my marsh rat for 2 seasons and it's very easy for one man to use. However I didn't do much work out in the bay with it. Also I may be interested in getting rid of mine drop me a p.m if interested.

Build on yourself.  Check out www.hybridduckboat.com .  You can build and customize it to your liking.  I have one I need to finish and only have around $180 into it right now.  Should be able to do it slightly cheaper if you stick to the plans.  I am building the original but have modified it to have a dog platform/motor mount behind the cockpit.  If I could come up with a chunk of $$$ I would finish it and start building my mini mud motor for it. :twocents:
