dloop

Ok so i just got a new cable, serving, peep, and d loop. Well i had a dloop before and it stayed put no problem. Well i had all these little things done and now when i shoot my dloop moves to the left after i release and when i pull back ffor another shot my peep rotates to the right. Well when i draw down n move my dloop to the right then draw i can see through my peep... i just got done tightening the loop up a bit n added some wax to maybe slide and settle in more shot it a few times seems to work a lil better but still does it. But any suggestions? Maybe haveing or useing a smaller dloop material?

You almost can't get a D-loop tight enough to prevent all moving, but inserting the nose of a pair of needle nose pliers and pushing for all your worth using it as a wedge should do the trick.

Hmm well crap, nvr had this problem wth my first loop.. what bout those cabelas/tru fire loops that ya just screw on ur sting, what ya guys think bout that

those dont sound like a good idea to me. take it to another shop and have them do it or find a buddy  that does it. wax the loop before you tie it, it'll help.

It takes a bit for the string to get memory for proper string alingnment. The other thing to look at is with the dloop its self. Make sure the the knots are tied the opposite way. Have the top part of the dloop with the melted end pointed to the right and the lower melted end to the left.

Common problem with new strings regardless whether they are custom/premium or not. Make sure you shoot 100 or so shots before taking things too far.  New strings like to find their own orientation which just takes a little time.  More with single cam bows.

Often it is not the D-loop at all but rather a loosely served center serving.  Have it reserved by a good pro shop.  If that still does not work, just have that shop twist your string to better position the peep.

Well i ended up buyin a spot hog smaller dloop. I waxed it and installed it myself. After shooting it and not once did i have it twist on me, i fixed the problem. Thanks guys for some input

i dont like the peeps that dont have the rubber tube for that reason. i never want to draw on an animal and have my peep twisted so i cant see through it. the reason it twists on a new string is because on a new string you get stretch. as the string stretches it changes everything. so the best thing to do is shoot a lot of arrows and hand twist the sight in place between shots and eventually it will train and stay where it is supposed to be. if it doesnt then take it in and have it reset.

string stretch comes from premade strings that havent been twisted before they put the serving on them. then you put tension on the string and it starts twisting under the serving. the only way to really avoid this is to have a string made in a pro shop that has a string stretching devise and have them stretch and twist the string first then put the serving on it.

Well its not a new string, it was a  cable i had replaced. My peep twist was fixed when i put my old dloop on. I just had it reservrd and  the new loop that was rreciently put on it wasnt working because the loop itself was twisting makeing the peep twist. Second i swaped out the loop, bam problem solved

Glad to hear you're ready for business!  Good call on the fix.  Sorry I did not pick up on the "Cable" comment.  That bow wax thing has done the trick more than once.  Really lets you get the knot tight.  Good luck. Be safe!
