Getting ready by looking back
« on: August 13, 2008, 05:26:33 PM »
So I am getting super excited for this coming hunting season. While I am practicing and looking forward for what is to come. As much as I love the big buck I got the most favorite memory I have is when me and my longtime hunting partner (rougheye) connected on the same day. We have been hunting together forever And have known each other since we could walk.. We have harvested many animals but never on the   same day. This was a couple of years ago and we found a group of bucks. Five to be exact, Anyway even though there were no real monsters in the group we decided this was a good chance. We watched them bed down and we put a two hour sneak on them. I almost blew it cause one deer was in a place I was not aware about. Thats why hunting is so fun.  Well I drew back and nailed my buck and rougheye got his. Two bucks out of a group of five. We almost had three  but rougheyes dad could not connect. He did however go back the next day and got one from the same group.
I will always cherish that day and hope we can do it again. Here are the pics and I hope everyone has a great and safe hunting season.
If its brown knock it down
