boy's first coyote
« on: October 21, 2008, 07:42:37 PM »
hi folks, my son & I went out and sat in a field where we had gotten permission from the landowner to take some whitetails if the opportunity arises, while wating for the deer to come out we saw many does and just before it got too dark to see a coyote steps out and I tell my son "I don't think we're gonna see any bucks tonight, but there is a coyote in front of me." he can't see it ,so I tell him to stand up and he sees it and asks, "can I shoot it?" I tell him "go ahead." he takes aim with his Savage 99 in 250-3000 and fires, it drops like it was struck by lightning! a perfect shot from about 120 yards. I'm one proud papa!
by the way, he just turned 9. just waiting for the right time with the bucks!

That's great! I've got a '99 in 250-3000 that needs to get bloodied.
