We'll see what happens with this years election for state legislature. Right now the Republican controlled "majority caucus" controls the Senate. But if the Democrats regain control of the state Senate who knows what will happen. Although I personally think a voter initiative for this matter would have a higher likelihood of passing then a bill in the legislature. :twocents:

He’s up for reelection this year but he is practically unopposed (only a libertarian on the ballet).  I guess he feels secure enough to in his position to propose screwing over his constituents.

If that little communist weasel was really worried about my safety he would ban sanctuary cities and force the deportation of all illegal aliens. A quick look at statistics shows AR-15 are not a big problem in America when compared to drugs and crime coming out of Mexico.

Just more pandering to those brain dead, emotional morons who call themselves "Liberals".

Rant over.
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

From the article:
Quote
Sen. David Frockt, D-Seattle, said a number of states have passed similar legislation. He said Washington’s proposal would grandfather in legally owned assault weapons.

So, does that mean that if you already own an AR, then if this ban passes you can still go out shooting your AR?  Wouldn't talk of this make sales skyrocket?  Wouldn't this be a great time to go by an AR or two to get ahead of the ban?

Say you already have a firearm with a high cap magazine and they ban the mags.  Are they simply banning the sale or do you then need to plug the magazine so that you are limited to 10 rounds?   :dunno:
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

If passed, would depend on the language.

If written to just ban future sales, no.

If written to ban all ownership and no provision for those already legally purchased and possesed, then yes, if found with one not meeting the requirements, could be charged, taken, whatever, again, depending on how it is worded.

And sadly, this is not going to go away.  Sooner, probably than later, they will tire of spinning their wheels and it will be written up and put on the ballot for public vote, just like baiting & hounds was for bear... We all know how that will turn out!!

It is better to be consistently incorrect than inconsistently correct...

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity...

Sarcasm makes smart people laugh and stupid people mad.

. . . which means to me that the dems trotted out a safe seat to propose something that probably has little chance of passing, but they want to agitate the low-info, gun-hating rubes to vote or continue to vote dem this November.

:yeah:
Even with a Democrat majority in both the Senate & House I don't think it would pass, unless they had a wide majority. There are a few Democrat legislators in WA with some conservative views on firearms and don't vote with Ds on firearm issues.

But if this goes on the ballot as an initiative, it's a done deal.

Take the time to Contact the AG'S office!!

IT will only take you a couple of minutes!!

I just did,   IF you can post here on HW,  contacting his office is even simpler!!

Besides, HE is your elected official!!   Tell him what you think!
