What are your favorite elk hunting books?
« on: June 13, 2011, 01:26:58 PM »
I am particularly interested in books that deal a bit deeper into elk biology and social behavior, but a good list of all the better elk related books would be welcome too. Heck, while we're at it feel free to post any books that sucked.

I like:

Elk and Elk Hunting by Wayne Van Zwoll

This one's on my "to read" list.  A couple of my favorites are Bugling For Elk by Dwight Schuh, and A Man Made of Elk by David Petersen.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Don't forget ElkNut's Playbook.  There's more on-the-ground experience page for page than any other I've come across.
