Does Cabelas price match?
« on: June 16, 2011, 08:30:18 PM »
I thought I'd ask here before I called them to see if anyone has tried and been successful. I was looking at a PLB and Cabelas has one for $299.00 plus shipping and REI has the same one for $249.00 with free shipping. Thats a big difference. I want to use my Cabelas bucks and the $20 coupon but I will buy it at REI if I have to.

Yes they do.  I've gone in there with my smartphone and scanned the price of an item before and found it cheaper at Bass Pro Shops, showed the gal at the counter, she looked it up online and gave me better price, no questions.

I agree 100%  Bobs and the Gu Shop were the stores that Cabelas didnt want to price match.

Will Cabelas match the prices found on internet sites or only phisical shops?
I was thinking of some of Cameralands sales.

I tried it with a muzzleloader that I found for $90 less at ASportsmna's Warehouse on-line.  They gave me the run around.  At first they said, no problem but after a while they gave me a bunch of crap about SW's closest store being in Oregon and that they would have to figure in shipping costs etc and finally said that they had all of thier muzzleloaders locked up for inventory.  Won't try to price match with them again.

I thought REI was an anti hunter store

I buy some of my equipment for my high hunts at REI. I figure it would really bug them if they knew the stuff I purchased from them was aiding in my pursuit and killing of innocent furry woodland creatures.  :chuckle:

Well I called Cabelas and they told me they would do price matching but it must be in person at the store. They won't do it over the phone.  :bash:  Too bad
