Okanogan Wolves
« on: February 15, 2017, 07:43:40 PM »
Found this on a friends FB page.

Here are pictures of 5 Wolfs take in the Ruby area on Salmon Creek. See the collar! Not the Loup Loup pack. DFW won't tell us when there is a wolf pack in your area. Not counted in the number of packs in Wa. I will call them the "Ruby Pack"... Screw the DFW. Wonder when they planted them here? Picture of deer kill and foot prints at milepost 13.25 on Salmon Creek Road. Killed between Thursday and Friday (2/9--2/10). Less than 2 miles from our horses!
Nothing in paper about the 7 (SEVEN) cougars killed IN the Town of Conconully in the last 13 days.

Is that carcass tied to the tree?

Is it out of the "Loup Loup" packs territory????
The states latest map isnt defined, so I think the territory had not been defined yet. Maybe the next release of Pack locations maps will have a more defined outline of the Loup Loup area.

Did you say 7 cats in town?  Pretty healthy looking wolves.  I said they did this in the Elochoman area SW Wa. but was told "They cant do that legally"  Hmm.  Time will tell....

I'd imagine the guy who placed the camera tied the deer so he would continue to get photos and it didn't get drug off right away.

I talked to game warden about those 7 cougars in Conconully.  He said it was blown up and there were only 3 cougars killed under a porch of a second home seldom used.  He said it was local high school kids.  They found tracks and set up a watch till they got three.  He wasn't sure if it was legal or not because it was in the city limits and didn't know what Conconullys laws are about shooting in the city limits.  He did not do the investigation just talked to other wardens about it.

I doubt the middle picture from the 20th is even the same deer. It;s mostly bones and the other two on the 29th look like a hide somebody put out to get photos. I doubt that middle deer got it''s hide back nine days later.
