colville lodging
« on: June 23, 2012, 11:41:05 AM »
Just wondering if anyone knew of a place to stay in the Colville area that isn't a hotel/motel? The little cabin that we used stay in is no longer available so we need something else. There will most likely be 5-6 guys and that is why we would like cabin or anything along those lines.

Do a google search on "Buck Canyon Lodge".  He has his main lodge and a couple of appt he rents out.  His place is located in Gifford and right by the Ferry going over to the indian res.

How close to Colville first off ? Are you guys hunting ? Beaver Lodge east of Colville 25 miles on highway 20, store, restaurant, beer and cabins. ATV riding, fishing and hunting right out your door.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Yes, we would be deer hunting and we actually hunt not too far from Beaver Lodge. We have thought about staying there and might as one of our later options but wanted to see what else is out there.

well, with that many guys, i would suggest the 49 degrees motel in chewella(?) and just make the drive in the morning. plus you could cover ground around there since youre so close, so ive heard its ok around there. only driven thru a few times. good luck to you and your group< especially your old man!

There are 3 cabins in Northport. That's about 32 miles or so North of Colville. They even have places to hang your deer already hooked up to the trees in front of them. There is an ad in the regs. (www.lazy-daze-retreats.com),

look at the in town lodging. Those are the ones I'm talking about.

expensive? Art has had the $60 price on the 2 cabins and 1 for $80 for at least 10 years without change. U cannot find nicer lodging with fully furnished cabins and satellite TV and AC. The A frame sleeps 11-14 for $175?? he also has a house he rents fully furnished for $125 and a guest cabin at his place that is cheap.

There are the blue moose cabins right over the river in ferry co about 10 min from kettle falls

I think the $60 one is the attached room by the house. I was talking about the A frame for the $165 a night, or whatever he told me. I know you better make a reservation now if their gonna do it.

I know some friends who used to stay at Blue Moose for years, then a couple years ago they said new owners and price increases drove them away...... :dunno:  Thats what I heard.

I stayed in Arts A-frame for 6 weeks and his house in Northport for a week, while working at the new border crossing in Boundary. The A-frame is pretty nice you can fish right there. When I was there Talking to Art about hunting season. He said that everything he has is usually rented for deer by the middle to end of summer.

I am over there every late season and have been for more then 20 years....back when Ann News had the old ones there in Northport. The last few years there seems to be vacancies during the late season. The cabins in town that is and I think they go for 59 per night.
