Region G in Wyoming......need help
« on: June 23, 2012, 01:03:14 PM »
Does anyone know of a reputable outfit that could take 4 guys and their gear in on horseback (5-6 miles) and then come pick us up later.   We will be hunting up by Alpine.  Plan on staying for 6-7 days

You might check out non typical outfitters. I know they do drop camps.  Here guided clients shot big deer every year. Some guys from my work used they and got bucks.

Congrats on a great tag draw.
Ever hunted that country before?

Shoot me a PM.  Spent a lot of time over the years in that country.  I could save you the outfitter costs, unless it's just something you want to do for the fun of the hunt factor.  That country is not that difficult to DIY once you get acclimated to the 7000' and up elevation.

Hunted there last year. Deer numbers were way down but still had an opportunity for good bucks. If you have never been there before I can give you more details and opinions on do's & dont's from my 3 trips there.
