« on: June 24, 2012, 09:31:08 PM »
i looked at a bowtech insanity cpx on the weekend at triple xxx archery. seemed like a nice bow shoots good. shot the hoyt vector 32. this bows draw cycle is as smooth as butter. thinking of going with the bowtech. i shot a pse evo 7 as well. just wondering if any one has had problems with this bow. had a bowtech allegience ive been useing for the last 5 years and have had no problems with it. just looking to upgrade.

Both of those how's are great, go with the one that is smoother.

You should shoot the vector 35 and the turbo vector also.

Bought my Insanity from XXX back at the beginning of Feb....

I shot 14 different bows and it came down to the vector's or the Insanity, Insanity just felt better to me...

the vector is smoother. but the insanity is faster. leaning towards the vector. will shoot them again and see.

See if they have a vector turbo you can shoot.

i was in your shoes earlier this year... i shot the evo and the vector(s), and every other bow i could get my hands on... it takes time getting around and touching them all... in the end i was down between a hoyt, and 2 mathews bows, the Helium and the new MR5 (completely different bows, i know). Carbon hoyt felt nice, smooth for as fast as they say its putin out. HeliM at 3.5 lbs is an awesome solo-cam fast and smooth bow (better then the z7 i think). I ended up falling in love with the most aggressive out of the 3, the MR5. duel cam makes it aggressive feeling, but i very much like the wall on the draw. and the good thing about the MR5 is you can set the draw weight down 60+/- and its very easy to pull but you still get the most speed and velocity. everyone thinks they know whats best, but it comes down to what you want/need in a bow, and how much time you have in the seat with it (I'm sure you know that). 5 solid months of shooting my 2012 MR5 set at 73lbs / 29" and i have 5 pins dialed in nice - 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100... yes 100. shoots so flat i love it. 450 grn total arrow weight and i have no problems. i got called out on my 100 yard pin at the 3D shoot last weekend so I sent 2 flying for'em at 100... 1st hit dead center of a 2" orange sticker at 100, 2nd hit half inch above it... and of course they still called it luck  :o

if you went out to shoot the evo and the vector, I'm guessing your looking for a good fast bow... like i was... that's why i tell you about the MR5. only con is the short 5" brace height for some people... me, i love it. and the penetration is by far deeper than most with same lbs and inches in draw.

let us know what you end up taking home
