Winston muzzy cow
« on: June 25, 2012, 09:59:45 AM »
So my wife drew 1 of the 90 cow tags they give out and is really excited at the chance to shoot her first elk. I have started my research on google earth and looking at several maps. My biggest question is should I be hunting the state land or the weyco land? Also are the elk going to be stirred up by the archery guys? From what I have been reading in pasted posts it should be a good hunt. Any info would be helpful, thanks in advance.

both the state land and weyco land has elk, prety much where ever you scout the most is going to be your best bet..that little pocket around the sedimint dam could be a pretty nice litle hole if you dont mind playing the boundry game, also the elk are going to pull a 180 deg attitude change after augest & september hunters :twocents:

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.

i was just up there scouting around today for my buddy who drew the november modern cow tag the gates were open on the riffe lake side but we only drove up a little bit considering the no trespassing signs and the amount of log trucks, it sucks that port blakley owns so much now but we did see a good amount of elk so
