i dont know much about cats, but was curious about how nomadic they are. if theres food in the area will they stick around or are they wanderers? i just pulled a sd out of a trail cam and had what looks like a real nice cat. id love for it to walk out under my stand

I shot a cougar in the Kapowsin Tree Farm that was collared at Blewitt Pass. Seemed like a long ways to me.

Lynx cats that were caught and collared in Colorado were recaptured in Canada.

If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
When Bernie Madoff did it, it's called a "Ponzi Scheme"
When Government does it, it's called "Social Security"

Gawd dont listen to me about cougars. I have never even seen one. But... I am always looking stuff up anyways so here you go.
The image above seems to be backed up by this GPS tracking done in AZ. Notice the females have smaller over lapping ranges and the males have much larger ranges that over lap with many females. Then there are transients (mostly younger males) that will travel all over the place looking for a territory of their own. They usually dont last long.
