I'm in for a goat.(Pics added)
« on: June 25, 2012, 12:24:08 PM »
Got word back from the booking agent guy today that I'm in for a Class 1 Guided hunt in the Austrian Alps for a gams/chamois. It's gonna be steep, rocky, and a once in a life time experience.  Gotta get my blaser warmed up to a few hundred yards.

They are a goat like game with fish hook horns. Middle of august it should have a lighter coat.

Very cool.  Great pictures, something I will never see in person probably.
How are the people in regards to hunting in that area?  Hopefully they are nothing like some of the Seattle ones we run into.  Lots to say about something they know nothing about.   :yike:
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Hunters make up such a small % of the population over here that almost no one really knows anything.  It is a tradition, career, and burden that is passed down through the generations.
"Right now, I am thinking that If my grandmother was here, she would be lecturing me about how there are poor people in Africa, that would just love to have a Ruger, I would just say "Great, granny, lets just ship all the Rugers to Africa!"

Loving life in the Great Northwest one day at a time.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.
