Garmin Oregon 550T GPS/ WA Card
« on: June 26, 2012, 06:25:02 PM »
I am wondering if anyone has this GPS with the wa card, and if they think it is worth the 100.00  I bought the GPS for my hubby for Christmas and was thinking about getting him the card for our anniversary but didn't k ow if there were other cards that may be better or not.  Or if the map that is already in it is good enough. I would like to make sure we can see logging roads, ect. The more info the better right?  Not sure if this is the right forum for it or not. Any info would be appreciated.   Thanks  :chuckle:

I have one with the Pacific Northwest card and the satellite imagery subscription.
Well worth it.  ;)

not sure about the card but I bought the satellite subscription over a year ago and let it expire. There is so much you can do with that gps its unreal. You can look at google earth and save an image and then upload it directly to your gps. Its awesome, I will never pay for outdated BirdsEye   stuff again. You can make what ever maps you want as long as their are some kind of reference points on the map. I took a picture of my youngest daughter and put a lat & long. numer in for her eyes and it overlayed my topo map on my 550T. The GPS rocks and once you get into the can do's of the unit there isnt much you cant do with it.

Thanks for the comment we both love hearing other peoples views of things. Thanks for posting back :)
