Bow package deal for my Dad
« on: June 27, 2012, 10:55:53 PM »
So I took my Dad out shooting, and now he is hooked, but on a budget.  I bought my Bear bow at americanarcherysupply.com and have been pretty pleased with it after two seasons. I was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of another website that sells affordable package deals? I found a couple of PSE bows that affordable, but don't know anything about PSE's cheaper bows. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would second Hunter's Friend if you want to go the online route.  But, there are good deals on packages almost everywhere that will be just as good in many cases.  Cabela's, Wholesale, Sportsman's...and even the better proshops out there.

Though I very much like Hunter's Friend and the owner is first class I prefer to put my hands on a bow before purchasing.  I like it even better when I can make sure what I get is going to fit the person properly.  Most pro shops will fit, basic tune and support you for free if you purchase from them.  Few do it for free if you purchase online.  Some times that is worth a lot more than the savings of purchasing online.

In remote areas with few proshop options Hunter's Friend is a greaty alternative.  They know their stuff and the website will help you make a very educated decision.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
