good sized bear passing through

Found this video on one of my trail cams todays. Had a few different ones but this one was the largest.

Great video and real nice bear! What kind of camera was it?

Bushnell Trophy Cam. I have had a few different types, but I sure like these. I really like the battery life in them along with them being compact and some of their other features.

Did a smaller bear come through just prior to that?  Looks like he might be tracking down a sow.  Should be in the rut right now. 

One heck of a nice bear!  Add another 40# of fat come late September and they don't get much better than that around here.  I can taste the bear smoked ham sandwiches now  :EAT:

Yes, a smaller bear did come through a little while before that, interesting observation. I am fascinated with these animals and am trying to learn as much as I can.

There is a great book out there called Black Bears - A Technical and Hunting Guidebook by Bob McGuire.  Technical enough to be a bit of a tough read.  But very informative for those wanting to learn.
