All around great, sums it up nice. Anything that walks around here will fall to a 270. 140 grain accubond and its lights out.

I have a couple Model 70 .270's, they both shoot great and are capable of taking down anything around here.

Love my .270. Wasnt confident in the zero on it this weekend, so didnt shoot it in the small game match, but shot it afterwards. First shot hits out to 360. Scored hits on targets at 515 and 700 also. Been shooting it for 15 years now and taken 2 deer and an elk with it. Very accurate and dependable on any size game.

Shot my dads hand me down 270 Remington 721 for 25 years. Between he and my myself we shot probably 45 deer and 10 elk with it. Gun literaly had lathe marks down the whole barrel which I hand sanded out one summer and had it re-blued. Turned out great.

We shot handloads, using 130gr boat tails with 4320 powder. Tack driver.

Love my 270.

140 gr accubonds work for me, killed 4 deer in montana with it ranging from 100 to 485 yards. Great caliber.

Love mine, an old Rem 721. Fast and flat and doesn't make you flinch, especially with a trigger that's so light it's almost voice command.

Any 130gr bullet and H4831 or H4350.
Then go fill your freezer.  From whitetails to Moose.

I am a big 270win fan. 140 accubond and the recommended dose of RL-19 is what I have been using for a few years now. Most game, elk or deer, usually do not require a tracking job.

To me there is no better rifle ... maybe because it has been used in my family for along time ..plus I have put it to the test on many occasions and it never failed me yet .....Bear deer or elk ...I am with Carp on the 140 gr. But prefer Hornaday ......140 gr seems to be the perfect bullet for this caliper even though it was bred for a 130 gr bullet

Here is one of my favorite loads with the 140BT. Thats using IMR 4831. I kinda jerked  the trigger on the 4th shot and pulled left. The three shot group is also IMR-4831.

Another exciting load with the 140 AB powered by H-4831 SC. The .270 is an accurate caliber.

Very nice .. thats all I shoot out of my .270 IMR 4831 and prefer IMR 4350 out of my .243  ...4350 workd well on the .270 too but 4831 groups better ...for me anyways ..
