Nice but I'm not sure I'd set my No. 1 on the rocks, in fact I quit hunting with mine because I didnt want to scratch it.  It's still my favorite rifle to shoot though.

Thanks guys - I'd been checking the .375 Number One in anticipation of bear and elk seasons - no intent of varmint shooting that day - was loading things up in the truck getting ready to leave when I noticed rockchucks starting to move around on the basalt... First thought was "Doggone it, I don't have my .204 varmint rifle." Then I had another, somewhat twisted thought... "Hey the .375 is in the truck and it's pretty accurate..." Pretty silly, but it worked just fine! Range was about 125 - 150 yards, used the 300 gr SPBT Sierra, and shot from a pretty solid sitting position.

This was the least gory photo - the bottom half of the chuck just didn't really exist anymore - rockchuck parts were scattered for about 10 yards...

Bullblaster - this rifle and I are becoming good friends! Bear, and now rockchuck... Maybe another bear or an elk this year? It's been to Africa before, but not with me. You still shooting that 500 yard 7mm magnum of yours?

Guy
