potholes camping

Have heard mixed opinions and no real facts on this.
Is it legal to camp out on any of the islands in potholes?  Also, can you have a fire legally on an island?  Thinking about boating in and taking the dogs out there for a weekend, tenting it on an island and just getting away from it all.  So, can I do this?

Im pretty sure you can camp out there,i have done it for ever and never had problems,probably no on the fire though,that might cause some un waned attention,

I doubt a fire would be a problem, there's tons of campfires over near the orv area.  Just find out who owns the land and check there site for restrictions.

I wouldnt worry about either, as long as there isnt a burn ban on in the county you should be good.  We camped over there last mid August and there wasnt a burn ban yet, I doubt there is now.  Have fun, camping on the islands is a blast.

We have done it for years never had any problems its like camping on forest service land i believe

Legal.  Bring good wood and don't drop your food in the sand like we did eons ago.  It's hotter than hell and there are these sand flys that bite.  One short over nighter will work.
