Anyone have any tips for the canon photo editing software?

Per the canon guys you want to use the canon photo pro software in your initial raw workflow.   canon does not share their algorithms with adobe etc.   
The comment was that the canon software will do a cleaner job sharpening, exposure editing etc.  (personally I think the HDR in photo pro does a better job)
Lightroom is good for cataloging and doing batch edits, and cs5 for working with individual pictures, and elements is a light version of cs5.

I use CS for everything, including RAW worklow, its excellent.

I shoot in RAW format to be able to make adjustments easier, Photoshop CS will allow you to work with RAW images.

Further clarification for Ross- RAW is a picture format ie jpeg, however it is the basic information that the chip recorded without any post production.  (basically has twice the data as a jpeg) problem is there isnt a raw standard, so Nikon raw is not the same as canon raw. 
It's a different world than film, or the old instamatic.

I use Lightroom for just about All of my editing. I quit using Canon Software a long time ago!

I don't mind at all    I think the flower was the only one I didn't edit. This software stuff and shooting in raw is all new to me so I have a lot of learning. I tried to mess around with layering and that turned out like crap

If you want to use LightRoom, there are tons of "how-to" videos on YouTube.  Also, LightRoom is a great organizational tool for all your photos.

I took these photos this morning with my new 350 and was trying out the software it comes with and just wanted some input or tips? One tip imperticular, how to resize down to the POTM contest 

If you are using a PC, then go with Lightroom from Adobe. Simple to use with plenty of options for more advanced editing.

If you are using a Mac (which you should be) get aperture for $99. Best program for organizing and editing I've found yet.

What Canon software do you have? If its  Digital photo professional just click on file, then convert and save. At the bottom of the window there is a box to check "resize". Check it then resize to what you want. dont forget to save. Hope this helps.

Most people, as well as the POTM, try to keep them sized at 800 on the long side.

Yeah it's the digital photo, thanks for the help. I've only ever used photobucket up to this point. Now that I know that I'll resize all future posted photo
