swap idaho hunt for washington hunt?
« on: June 29, 2012, 12:19:03 PM »
My son is 9 and can not hunt in idaho but he took hunter safety for washington so he bought the Deer, Elk,Bear,Cougar tag package in washington. We did get him a deer tag last year and he shot a doe. Just wondering if anybody would want to
trade taking him and I on a hunt for and idaho hunt. We have hounds and can run lions, racoons and bears but out of state has to draw a hound hunter permit to hunt anything over dogs. Would be really confident on getting someone a turkey and pretty confident on a bear or a deer. I archery elk hunt and have gotten quite a few but not for a few years so dont want to make any promises on that one.  We live in Hayden Idaho so we would be hunting northern Idaho. Prefer a washington elk, buck mule deer or bear hunt. like everyone I would like a high percentage hunt for him but size is not an issue not looking for any kind of trophy. If you could draw an out of state hound hunter permit I think we would have a good chance on a lion also.  out of my hunting party of 4 we did get 3 bulls last year I unfortunately did not but we get into em every year. Also my son is a good shot and has went hunting with me since he was 5. Has been with me on successfull bear, lion.deer and elk hunts so he does pretty good.

I would be interested in trading a hunt.  I have what I would like to call a sure thing on black tail deer.  Only stipulation is that is has to be taken by bow due to the location.  The shot will be within 30 yards and most likely will be 10-20 yards.

Only question is how long you will be in washington for when you come to hunt.  As we all know the animals aren't always there everyday but given you are in town for several days I would bet money that he can take a doe for sure if not a 2x2 or 3x3 buck.

Shoot me a personal message if this peaks your interest and we can chat more.
