I like the wraps too. For me its really tough finding an arrow in flight or in the ground without the white wraps.

On a suggestion I fletched three arrows orange b/c they are way easier to pick up than white if your shooting in a bright area (like alpine shale) The white wraps with white fletch show up awesome in the timber which is typically where I am hunting.

Thanks D-Rock. I forgot to order the orange fletch so I ended up stripping a few old target arrows and ended up with a little discoloration on them, I was a little dissapointed about that but not too concerned. I liked they ended up.

thats what the white vane is for!
Yeah, what do I know?  There's a 1 in 3 chance that your white vane gets any blood, and then there's a 1 in 10 chance that you get any info from it.  Dang it! 26+ years of bowhunting down the drain!  :chuckle:

I wasn't trying to be a kill-joy.  Your arrows look better than anything I can build.  I suck at fletching.  I just wanted to try and help.

todd, who needs wraps when you can do what i do... hit the trigger and pull your bow down at the same time and watch the arrow hit!

i found that the best way.  :chuckle:

They do look good, I have never seen the wrap.

Where did you pick that up at?

Any tips for installing that wrap?

Put the wraps on a mouse pad from your computer then roll your arrows onto the wrap....

Thanks. You can pick up the 6" wraps at pretty much every major archery shop or on most outdoor type archery websites on line. I used the mouse pad to apply the wraps as stated above. You place the wrap on the pad sticky side up then inch the arrow towards the wrap making sure the arrow shaft and wrap edge are even. Then just use down ward pressure and spin the arrow shaft so the wrap wraps around the shaft while maintaining downward pressure. This will keep any air bubbles from forming under the wrap and keeps them really even and nice. It's easier than you would think. I just used am Arizona Easy Fletcher to apply the fletching.

Easton makes some heat shrink wraps that I've used on my carbons in the past.  Easy to apply if you dip them in boiling water, but I still like the adhesive kind better.
Oh, and since we're having show and tell, here are some port orfords that I just finished fletching.

Dont like wraps, dont like white......brilliant white moving in the woods, to a deer or elk, is like flashing red lights in a rear view mirror to us.   And then theres snow.......

Beautiful jobs on the arrows, just not for me in the woods.    :twocents:

I use wraps with a white background and one white fletch.  I cover them with a cheap camo fleece cover.  It works well and gets rid of the white flag that buckfvr is referring too.
