A guy from work said the same thing last year.......    :dunno:

A guy I know that lives between Cle Elum and e-Burg just took pics of a cow moose in his neighbors pasture a couple weeks ago.  Said he wasn't going to mention it if he didn't get a pic.   He went home and got his camera in time.     :chuckle:

Lot of elk around there, but the Washington Cascades  seemingly are becoming more habitable to moose.  There are some residents in the Lake Wenatchee-White River-Chiwawa area, as well as Ross lake.  Transients are all over.

So a resounding, maybe

I'd love to see them "translocated" to the Olympic Pen.

Is it that the Cascades are becoming more habitable, or that the traditional moose grounds are becoming less hospitable? I'm sure we will see an increase in transient/dislocated moose (or is it meese  :chuckle:) in the years to come.

After talking with her for a bit. (this girl is not good with directions. Go figure). As far as I can figure she did not see this moose in naches. She saw this thing on the tieton river  just east of the road that goes up to bethel ridge/cash prarie
That is what I came up with after interigation. Hope that helps you guys that want to search

My belief is that due to wolves, moose are relocating to areas without wolves and the wolves then follow the moose.  Just my belief though, no scientific proof whatsoever.

I'm sure she does know what a moose looks like but from a distance a small cow could look like a moose... and they have alot of range cows in the bethel ridge road area this time of year
