From what I understand, deer see colors around the violet end of the color spectrum. They can see blues and also some yellows too. Everything else is pretty much greys... For a rifle hunter, I dont think it makes a bit of difference as long as you stay away from blue. I wear the best technical gear I can afford in natural colors, green and brown..
The only real reason I have camo is because most technical hunting clothing is camo. I wear solids all the time while hunting, and unless you are a bow hunter, it shouldn't make much of a difference. Just stay away from cotton, especially denim.
Well said. You don't need to spend extra on camo if you already have quality gear in solids. However, when buying again, I'd recommend camo, because then you have it if you need it.
