I am currently using a Mother 2.0 bird vest/pack and am curious what other people are using or recommend.

Filson strap vest in warm weather.

Cabelas Upland Tradition vest when it gets colder.

Filson Shelter Cloth Hunting Coat when it gets snow cold...(yeah I know, that's not a vest)

Filson gear is spendy, some would say way overpriced.  But it doesn't wear out.  I love my Filson strap vest.  If I could only have one vest, that would be the one...

I've got more hunting clothes, than street clothes by a LOT :IBCOOL:

Im no bird hunter (yet), but I have looked at a Badlands bird vest, and it looks like a hardcore piece of equipment.

I own it and I like it. All I wear to make the law legal is more orange. I don't go out and buy all the fancy bird hunting duds. I use my old climbing jacket made by Mt. Hardware, it's red, Carharts or those micro tech camo pants from Cabela's that Finnman turned me on to. Good footwear, and various head-wear for changing weather.

For those that aren't looking to spend a pretty penny on a vest, GAMEHIDE makes some pretty solid stuff.  Been wearing them for a few years now and it has done just fine for me, I didn't want anything to heavy, I go back to Kansas a couple times each year and boy do we do some walking there.
