Black and whites on a routine DUI patrol.  Lights are not flashing, so you should be okay.  :chuckle: :chuckle:

Had that happen with Humpbacks? out of Swiftsure one year.  They were breaching withing 20 yards of us and actually blowing there snot on the boat!  Sucks cause I had dropped my camera in the water at the lauch and it was taken apart to try and dry it............

Cool picture.  How was the fishing?

this pics is a bit better but did not show the big Bull's true fin height. Reflection off the dorsal is much better though.

I bet one of them would give you one hell of a fight. With a few brews in me I may have just cast over to them.

What would you use Spinning or Fly rod  :chuckle:

Cool pics!  I was fishing for halibut in MacKenzie Inlet in S.E. Alaska, out of a 12 foot skiff when a cow orca and her calf surfaced 6 feet from my boat.  I was half asleep with a couple of beers in me just minding my own biz, jigging for butts and sploosh!   I damn near crapped myself!  I could have touched them with my rod tip.  I watched them make 2 circles around me and disappear.  I reeled up and got the hell out of there.  Looking back it was pretty cool but at the time I was scared *censored*less!

I remember reading a story in Outdoor Life or F&S about a couple of guys fishing in Alaska and saw a pod of orcas eat a cow and calf moose swimming from one Island to another.  Anyone else remember this?
