Backyard Mulies
« on: July 10, 2012, 07:47:24 AM »
A few bucks hitting up the feed behind my house. I was thinking about going after the older one this year, but the other night he stood 25 yards away and watched me shoot my bow in the backyard.
Pics are about 3 weeks old.

The wife has started to name them. They are almost like pets.

Good point....condition the biggest buck to be hand fed apples. Then, lure him in by calling his name and making kissy sounds, grab some antler, stab him in the neck with your bowie knife.....hold him until he bleeds out then call Ted Nuget and tell him he is a sissy boy.

My girlfriend helps me name the deer we see too. Then if I kill one with a name she comments how tasty it is by name while we are eating! ...do tell... what are their names?

Back when we were living in Texas, I shot a doe, took it home, processed it, and threw the head in the trash can. That night I grilled the backstraps and made a really nice dinner; however, my wife only took a few bites. I asked and asked what the problem was, but she said everything was great. As it turned out, she had taken the trash out before dinner, and when she opened the trash can the deer was "looking at her" and she felt bad eating it. HAHAHA!

Now I make sure to throw everything in trash bags!

Tell her to just wait until they are mounted on the wall and watching her every move! Tell her that they report back to you about what she does when you aren't there.... works for me!  :chuckle:
