Camera is getting moved to the Oregon side of the Blues to track branched antlered ELK that I can actually shoot!! So as far as this critter is concerned the world may never know...
It is hard to follow one great vision in a world of darkness and of many changing shadows. Among these shadows men get lost.

That is an elk... you see starts to brow tines and the tallest portion is the growing beam. No large hump on shoulder and moose are dark brown almost black... elk are tan. Moose antlers grow straight out the sides as well (previously stated) the unevenness on the coat is the remaining winter coat shedding.

Stands to reason that it's an elk. I had 1800 pictures and the majority of them were raghorns just starting to grow (April-June) and smaller bulls. I think it just looked so different because it was a funny angle.
